Join me in supporting Doors of Change, a charity that I have been associated with as a member of the board of directors. We are dedicated to help homeless youth in San Diego.
Focusing on homeless youth attacks the problem before it becomes a lifelong issue for these individuals. A large number of the homeless youth population results from abusive parents that force them out of their homes, often because they are LBGT, alcoholism in the home or abandonment.
Homeless youth are found throughout the San Diego community living in their cars, in tents or out on the streets. Many are even students at our local colleges. We have a great record of making an impact and many of the youth that we’ve helped have gone on to become successful in a variety of careers.
Doors of Change provides shelter, car repairs, counseling, and a variety of services using our own trained caseworkers. We are a small non-profit organization that accomplishes big things efficiently and without a huge budget. Please help me during this campaign and make a donation of any amount possible.
